Chamber Music for All Occasions

The Beresford Ensemble is a well-established group of experienced chamber musicians who perform together primarily as a String Quartet but who also play in the Beresford Sinfonia.

Other performers are invited to join the Quartet from time to time to add variety to the quartet repertoire, which ranges from the Baroque to the contemporary, including less serious works which are often suited to events such as weddings, parties and other celebrations.

The Beresford Sinfonia

The Beresford Sinfonia is a small chamber orchestra directed by Bryan Gipps and Martyn Williams, dedicated to a professional standard of performance using the best of today’s instruments and techniques with due regard to authenticity. Each section of the strings is led by a member of the Beresford Ensemble. Concert programmes are planned to give pleasure to audience and performers, and adequate rehearsal time is seen as essential by all players in order to accomplish this and to provide a purposeful and blended sound.
